Women’s Tonic No 2
A blend of herbs traditionally used to help promote hormone balance and calm PMT, mood swings, irritability, low mood and fatigue.
This tonic is rich in adaptogens, nervines and herbs which balance hormones and the HPA axis or stress response. Vitex agnus castus or Chaste berry is thought to have progestogenic properties and its use in PMT is supported by many studies where it has been found to reduce headaches, depression, bloating, fluid retention, breast tenderness or mastalgia and anxiety.
Holy Basil is a sattvic herb in Ayruveda, which mean it contains the principle of light, perception, and clarity. Known as ‘The Mother Medicine of Nature’ it is an adaptogenic herb meaning it helps support the body in times of stress, supports homeostasis reducing anxiety and helping to lift mood and ease mental fog and exhaustion.
Passionflower, Skullcap, Verbena and Rose are used traditionally to calm anxiety and ease mood swings and irritability. Dandelion root supports liver clearance of hormones so easing hormone imbalance.
This blend includes the herbs: Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), Skullcap (Scutellaria laterifolia), Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum), Bupleurum (Bupleurum chinense), Chaste Berry (Vitex agnus castus), Rose (Rosa spp), Verbena (Verbena officinalis), Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale rad), Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra).
Dose: Take 5 ml x3/ day, with a little water.
Shake well before use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Refer to information leaflet before use.
Available in 100ml / 300ml/ 500ml bottles.
Not suitable for children under 18 years of age.
Do not use if you take interferon therapy, progesterone, contraceptive pill or have a pituitary gland disorder. Long term use of licorice should be avoided by people with high blood pressure.
CAUTION: Allergy to any of the ingredients.
Herbs extracted in sugar beet ethanol (alcohol).
Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
